Day 1 We travel to Preston for our overnight stop at the Holiday Inn.

Day 2
Travel onwards to our base at Erskine with a stop in the famous village of Gretna Green with an included visit to the Blacksmiths Shop, scene of many a “runaway” wedding. Arrive at the hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3
Excursion to Glasgow with free time in the city.

Day 4
We take a short journey into the wonderful scenery of Loch Lomond, including a one hour boat cruise and a visit to the quaint village of Luss.

Day 5
A Clyde circular tour today starting with the ferry to Dunoon. Continue to Inverary, returning via Arrochar and Helensburg to complete the scenic circuit. We end the tour on a high with an entertaining Ceilidh evening. Start with a wee dram, followed by a 4 course traditional dinner. Then the Cosmopolitan Pipe Band and dancers will start the evening’s entertainment and encourage you to join in for an impromptu lesson.


Day 6
Travel south to Ayrshire and Burns County with a visit to Ayr, Alloway and the seaside town of Troon.

Day 7 Travel down the attractive lower Cyde Valley for an included visit to the World Heritage Site of New Lanark and onward to our overnight stop at the Holiday Inn Preston.

Day 8 Homeward journey from Preston to West Wales.

A tour full of contrast and interest based around the attractive area where the River Clyde meets the Scottish lochs. A short journey in any direction from the hotel reveals beautiful scenery and fascinating history in this Scottish region.

The Erskine Bridge Hotel lies beside the River Clyde located in pleasant surroundings only a few minutes drive from Loch Lomond.
